Students at Miles Elementary School in Atlanta got a chance to hang out with Ludacris. He partnered with Mercedes Benz during their “Season to Shine” event to donate new shoes for the holiday season.
Recently, The Ludacris Foundation teamed up with Mercedes Benz to deliver 1,270 new shoes to Miles Elementary School, Michael R. Hollis Innovation Academy, and Leonora P. Miles Intermediate Elementary before the holidays.
“Kicking off the holiday season with a new pair of shoes will give our students the confidence they need to tackle the rest of the school year,” said Thalise Perry, Principal at Miles Intermediate Elementary School.
The Atlanta-bred rapper added, “I care deeply about supporting and serving kids in my hometown of Atlanta,” Luda said. ” I know that the new shoes are a small stepping stone to helping these students live out their dreams and realize their greatness. I’m thrilled to be part of that.”
Mercedez Benz encouraged its employees to join the “Season to Shine” event by donating new shoes directly to the California nonprofit “Shoes That Fit.” It will deliver shoes to more children in local communities across the country. In 2013, Luda donated $50K to those who were affected by natural causes in the Philippines.
Recently, The Latino rapper Anuel AA also made collaboration deals with Reebok and teamed up with Footlocker to donate $75K to disabled communities.
